DVHS Partners with BGHS for Winter Drumline

With COVID-19 taking its toll on band participation you have to get creative if you want to compete and perform! Mrs. Esparza at Barry Goldwater High School was gracious enough to invite DVHS students to take part in their WGA Winter Drumline program.

Three Deer Valley Skyhawk Freshman, Jason Meyers, Lucas Lrey, & Alex Radlauer joined the BGHS Winter Drumline. With Jason and Alex on marching snare and our trombone player Lucas holding down the #4 bass drum.

These boys went to rehearsals for 4 months at BGHS!! They stepped out of their comfort zone and worked hard to play instruments they had not played before. They made some great new friends along the way!

At the WGA Competitions they earned two 1st place, and a 2nd place finish. At the WGA Championship they took 3rd place in their respective division!! Congrats!!

Please help us congratulate these boys on their hard work and a big thank you to them for representing the Deer Valley High School Skyhawks in the best way!!
